BUYING PAINTINGS FROM THE STUDIO

At the studio we want our clients to find the painting they love, and we are committed to our collectors. All shipping in the UK is coordinated personally by the studio, and only with trusted art handlers beyond the UK. Correspondence both during the purchase and delivery is conducted by Eloise herself when possible. We track the painting during transit to ensure you receive the painting in perfect condition. We use reputable online payment systems to make buying your chosen artwork easy and convenient, however, should you wish to make a payment by a different method please contact the studio via the contact page and we will be in touch. Where possible we can coordinate in-person viewings of the paintings at the studios, and we are also able to send additional photographs and videos of the works should you like to see more. We are happy to create digital impressions of the painting in your home if you provide us with a photograph of where you’d like the piece to hang. We understand that buying the right artwork can take time, we are committed to making the experience an enjoyable occasion.

As with all artworks: the artist retains copyright of all images unless it is sold at the artist’s discretion as a separate transaction.

SHIPPING

Paintings are investments and we pride ourselves on ensuring the safe delivery of our works; we have over 15 years of successful shipping experience to refer to when we coordinate the delivery of your pieces.

Large original painting deliveries (dimensions 80 cm +) will be coordinated directly with you to ensure the delivery time suits you, please allow a little longer for these deliveries.

We work with different companies depending on the size of the piece. Smaller pieces are sent tracked and larger pieces are shipped with local companies or by the studio itself.

INTERNATIONAL

We do coordinate shipping for international clients and organise this in relation to specific paintings, please contact the studio to get a shipping quote and to open up the online shop facility for your purchase.

RETURNS

If something isn’t right with your item please contact us on receipt of the product. Returns for other reasons are also accepted but the item needs to be returned in perfect condition and the return postage will need to be paid for by the buyer.

FRAMING

ELOISE GOVIER ARTIST

PAINTINGS

The frames are often made in the studio, and we consider these frames ‘exhibition framing’. Most pre-2021 frames are bespoke and unique to each individual painting, made using timber sourced from the local merchant, and every aspect of the making process is completed by hand at the Cenarth studio.

From 2021: we are now collaborating with professional framers external to the studio, these frames are bespoke to each painting. We present the paintings in quality white frames.

DRAWINGS

We present the drawings mounted in commercial frames using white, off-white and cream where appropriate.

PRINTS

We present the Giclée Fine Art Prints mounted in commercial frames using white, off-white and cream where appropriate.

THE ENVIRONMENT

PAINTINGS

The paintings are made using oil paint on canvas (acrylic is often used as an undercoat), Eloise is careful to avoid wastage of these products. From 2021 paintings on canvas are also produced in acrylic on canvas; the medium is always listed in the description.

STUDIO ELOISE GOVIER

The studio offers a range of art products designed by Eloise. At present, these products are created in very small numbers. We are committed to a high standard of quality and will continue to review our practices as this side of the studio develops and grows, particularly in reference to the environmental impact of what we produce as a studio. When we use third parties to produce cushions, prints, homeware and commercial frames (for the print line only) we order small numbers to ensure everything goes to a happy home. Due to the exclusive nature of these products depicting original designs, we envision these pieces as collectors items.

PACKAGING

We use paper and card packaging to transport items from the Studio.

On occasion, we may re-use materials in the studio to supplement our packaging.

Our stamp logo (which we often use on our paper wrapping) was made by a small independent UK business which plants a tree with every custom made stamp.

We currently use paper wrap to protect our paintings and poster prints in transit.
